Sunday Celebration
Our theme for Sunday Celebration was the Baptism of the Lord and so we "re-enacted" the Sacrament of Baptism. The intention is that the Sacrament, of which most preschoolers have no first-hand memory, now becomes real for these little ones. So, the next time they witness a Baptism, be ready for your small saints to let you in on all the great stuff they learned about the Sacrament of Baptism!
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord
Keith Swanson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, businessman and friend died suddenly on January 2, 2006. Keith's joy, humor, and sense of hospitality made it a delight to spend time with him, and he had a gift for making each person feel like a treasured friend. Keith taught us many lessons about what marriage should look like as he made it his life's work to devote himself to his bride, Trudy. A convert to the Faith, Keith's personal relationship with Christ was his motivation to share his gifts generously through good times and bad. He had a special love for the Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and was a regular adorer at both the Church of Saint Paul and at St. Henry's in Perham. Knowing Keith has enriched our lives in a thousand ways and he will be greatly missed. The Swanson family would appreciate your prayers. The funeral Mass will be at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 234 2nd Ave SW in Perham, Minnesota, on Friday, January 6th at 11:00 am. Visitors may stop at the Schoenberger Funeral Home after 10:00 am on Friday morning. The reviewal will be held at the Schoenberger Funeral Home, 254 Third Ave SW in Perham, Minnesota, on Thursday, January 5th beginning at 4:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. A visitation will be held at the Church of Saint Paul on Sunday, January 8th, beginning at 5:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Henry's Catholic School in Perham, Minnesota, for their boiler fund.

'Tis better to give...
At their December meeting, the Soldiers of Christ, our 4-6th grade boys' group, put together almost 30 boxes of Christmas gifts for boys their age in Mandaree, North Dakota. Thomas Huber shared stories and photos from his summer mission trip to conduct a Vacation Bible School there and the boys had fun playing one of the VBS games!
Congratulations!!!
Anne Perkerwicz and Sam Rocha were united in the Sacrament of Matrimony on Friday, July 8, 2005. Anne's sister Jena and Sam's brother were the witnesses, with five priests concelebrating the Mass. We wish Anne and Sam a blessed life and pray their focus remains united to Jesus.
