Holy Orders
The sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to His apostles continues to be exercised in the Church. It has three degrees: episcopate (bishop), presbyterate (priest) and diaconate (deacon).
"Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.' And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, 'This cup is the new covenent in my blood, which will be shed for you.' " (Luke 22:19-20)
"I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do." (John 13:15)
