Our parish has recently established the Church of Saint Paul Cornerstone Endowment Fund in partnership with the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota. Endowment funds are designed to provide stable, ongoing support. Gifts to the fund will grow through prudent, faith-aligned investing. Each year, we will be able to rely on a distribution from the fund to help us carry out our mission and ministry. The endowment establishes a cornerstone for our vision of building upon the mission of Jesus — to make disciples, disciples who love God and love one another, disciples who live in integrity, faith and put their love for our Lord into action for one another. Even though the world around us changes, that vision and that call to discipleship does not. Everything we have is from God, so we go forward together, making the name of Jesus Christ known and loved.
I am so thankful in all the ways you have already taken faithful steps along the discipleship pathway, with your wonderful outpouring of gratitude and grateful offerings that have reflected what we as a community are all about.
More information will be shared soon, but I wanted you to be aware that our Finance Council, parish staff, and new Endowment Ambassador Team have been hard at work creating this endowment. You will all be invited to consider how you may help create a perpetual tithe, to shape the heritage of our community for future generations. In the meantime, I invite us to ask Jesus how we can be stewards of God’s gifts. Let’s pray together that we may see with the eyes of faith how the Lord would have us follow Him. United in Jesus Christ, we are setting a path for the future and taking our next steps together in faith. — Fr. Jim
